Pinewood Derby @ Windsor Elementary Cafeteria | DeForest | Wisconsin | United States

This year’s Pinewood Derby is Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the Windsor Elementary Cafeteria. Registration begins at 9:00am (see Derby Info for more information), with racing beginning at 10:00am.

A few years ago we adjusted our rules to better align with the Yahara District rules. Most of the rules are the same as they always have been, but please review our rules by clicking below. A few highlights of more recent rules changes: wheels may be lightly polished or sanded; and, no object may be placed between the axle head and the wheel — or between the wheel and the car body (no washers, bearings, bushings, sleeves, etc.).

Blue & Gold Banquet @ Windsor Elementary Cafeteria

Blue-GoldThis year’s Blue and Gold banquet is being held on February 24th at the Windsor Elementary Cafeteria.

This is also the place for the annual PARENT-SCOUT CAKE BAKE. Get creative and think of the coolest cake you can imagine, then make it happen! There will be a live auction of the cakes to benefit DANN!  New Cake Bake Rules and Certificate will be added soon!

Leaders are to arrive at 1:00 pm.

Everyone will help with cleanup.

Agenda:
1:00pm        Den Leaders arrive for set-up.
2:00pm        Scouts, parents and guests arrive – Games
2:30pm        Cake bake silent auction, brief pack meeting
3:30pm        Entertainment
4pm-5pm     Dinner

Potluck Assignments:  
Den 6 & Den 2    Salads/Veggies/Fruit, etc.
Den 1 & Den 5    Snacks (cheese/sausage trays, chips, etc.)
Den 7                   Veggies/Fruit
Den leaders please bring a main dish.

Scouting for Food Door Hanging @ Windsor-DeForest Neighborhoods

Saturday, March 2 — 9:00 am Dens/Patrols meet at their designated spots to distribute door hangers in the neighborhoods they are assigned. Please contact your Den Leader for your neighborhood assignment.

Each Den/Patrol Leader will need to fill out the Day 1 Volunteer Summary Form listing names of Scouts and parents who volunteered and how much time was spent.

Collection of food donations will be on Saturday, March 9.

Scouting for Food Collection @ Windsor-DeForest Neighborhoods

Saturday, March 9 Dens/Patrols meet again at their designated spot to begin collecting donated food in the same neighborhood they distributed the fliers.

Once the collection is complete, food items need to be counted. Den/Patrol Leaders are responsible for filling out the Day 2 Volunteer Summary Form with the names of Scouts and parents who volunteered, how much time was spent, and the total number of items collected. Please then bring the items directly to the Windsor Food Pantry located at Windsor United Church of Christ (4434 2nd St., Windsor, WI). Please use the entrance located on the east side of the church.

We’ll kick off the Summer Activities with our annual Pack 155 Family Campout. The campout is always a great time, and Scouts will enjoy a special campfire “graduation” ceremony as they move on to their next rank for the Scout Year next fall.  Uniform:  Class B for daytime activities, Class A for graduation ceremony
