Derby Info 2013

Written by Pack155 on February 4, 2013

We’ll pass along more info about the 2013 Pinewood Derby as it becomes available, but a couple quick notes:

  • Generally, the Derby takes up the majority of the day. By the time the races are done and cleanup has taken place it usually puts us between 1 and 2pm. However, this is the largest group in Pack 155 history so it may be a bit later than that this year.
  • At registration (between 8-9am) every scout will receive a Pit Pass that will allow them to enter the pit area for their Den races.
  • The Pack is providing lunch for the scouts. This includes a hot dog, chips, drink, and dessert. Besides hot dogs we will have a food stand providing breakfast and lunch items for sale. Our Food Coordinator, Tia Hunter, will be working on the food list. So if you have suggestions in mind, please contact her with ideas or requests. We will try to accommodate certain requests, but understand it will be the majority that determines the food list.
  • Each Den should bring 24-36 individual snack items — brownies, cookies, candy bars, etc., but no chips, please. Den leaders should assign what to bring to their den’s parents.
