♦ Type of Sales
Show and Sell: Popcorn delivered to customer at time of sale.
Take Order: Popcorn delivered to customer after time of sale (after scout receives order at a restock night or at end of Fall Popcorn Sale).
No online sales this year.
♦ Sales Instructions
FOR ALL SCOUTS TO CONSIDER
Always fill out your order form, even if you are delivering popcorn to the customer that day. PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION to the last two columns of the form where you will indicate if the customer has paid and if you have delivered the popcorn.
Customers should make checks payable to you (the parent). Parents will then submit a single check to Pack 155 for the total amount you sell during the sale.
Please keep and return empty boxes (literally the cartons or cases) to Jeff Krueger on restock nights or at end of sale (see calendar for dates).
Sale ends on October 20. At the Pack Meeting on October 22, you are accountable for submitting your check (payable to Windsor Pack 155) for the total amount you sold and any unsold popcorn.
If you decide to stop selling before the sale ends October 20 or you won’t make it to the October Pack Meeting, please contact Jeff Krueger as soon as possible. We will collect your check and try to redistribute your unsold popcorn to other scouts.
FOR THOSE WHO EXPECT TO SELL MORE THAN $250 WORTH OF POPCORN
We recommend you use both Show and Sell and Take Order approach. For Show and Sell, pick up your popcorn at Jeff Krueger’s house between 5:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday, September 21.
Please accept full boxes/cases/cartons of each type of popcorn you need at pickup. Be conservative in estimating how many chocolate-based items you can sell. The Pack cannot return them to the Council.
Please let Jeff know, preferably by e-mail, if you intend to return damaged items or items that you don’t plan to sell or if you need popcorn to fulfill a Take Order sale. Jeff will let you know if he has it on hand or if he can obtain it from other Scouts and which restock night you can pick it up.
Please don’t trade/swap popcorn directly with other families. We’d prefer you return unsold items to, and pick up Take Order items from Jeff Krueger on restock nights.
FOR THOSE WHO EXPECT TO SELL LESS THAN $250 WORTH OF POPCORN
We recommend that you use the Take Order approach.
Please let Jeff know, preferably by e-mail, what popcorn you will need to fulfill the Take Order sales you’ve accumulated (would be easiest if you accumulate several sales before contacting Jeff). Jeff will let you know if he has it on hand or if he can obtain it from other Scouts and which restock night you can pick it up.
♦ Helpful Information
Contact Jeff Krueger if you need additional or replacement order forms.
Jeff has the previous year sale records (Thanks Dan!), if you’d like to know what your scout sold last year for estimating purposes.
A “container” of popcorn is one tin or bag, not the box/case/carton in which it comes. In other words, there are typically multiple containers in each box/case/carton.
We have supplied an envelope that you can use to hold money and checks as you are going door-to-door.
Scouts should always have a parent with them and wear a Scout uniform when going door-to-door. Scouts should never enter a customer’s house alone.
Smile! Say ‘thank you’, even if you didn’t make a sale.
♦ Sales Incentives

—Four opportunities to enter (see calendar).

—Every $500 worth of sales allows for a scout to enter another form.
