2009 Blue & Gold Potluck

Written by Pack155 on January 6, 2009

The Annual Pack 155 Blue & Gold Potluck Banquet is coming up at our next Pack Meeting on Sunday, January 18, 2009, at Sun Prairie’s Bethlehem Lutheran Church — 300 Broadway Dr., across from Wisconsin Cheeseman’s (see map). The Blue & Gold will begin at 3:00 pm, but try to arrive by 2:30 so you can get your cake registered and so the kids can play the games that are setup.

Did I say “cake registered”? Yep, we’ll also have the annual Father-Son Cake Bake Competition. Each Father (or other male family member) and Scout is invited to make a creative cake, and they are also encouraged to auction the cake with proceeds going to the Pack (but Scouts may keep their cake if they choose). Remember to be as creative as you want, it’s the Scouts who will vote for their favorite cakes and award plaques for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. To be eligible, you must clean up the kitchen after you make the cake and Mom will need to sign a certificate stating the clean up met her standards. Certificates will be at the registration table (sorry, I forgot to bring them to the last pack meeting).

For the Potluck Dinner each Den has been assigned a food dish to pass. They are:

Main Dishes: DEN 1, DEN 2
Salads & Vegetable Dishes: DEN 3, DEN 7
Desserts: DEN 4, DEN 8

See you at the Blue & Gold!
