The 40th Annual Yahara District Pinewood Derby will be held March 7 at East Madison Toyota on Lancaster Dr. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers from all Pack Den levels are invited to attend.
There is also an Open Class race for all registered Scouts wishing to compete, but who did NOT place 1st, 2nd or 3rd at the Pack level.
Cost to race is $6 — this fee is covered by the Pack (for the top 3 finishers in each den who choose to participate — District Open Class racers are responsible for the $6 fee).
Your scout must have their car registered and inspected at least 15 minutes before their race time. Unlike our Pack Derby, there is not single designated registration period for all ranks. So as an example, if your scout is a Bear, the Bears are scheduled to race at 11am so registration must be completed by 10:45 am. Registration/inspection opens at 9am, but a Bear does not need to register that early… registering by 10:15 or 10:30 would likely leave plenty of time to get through registration.
