Don’t miss out on this rare solar event! We should experience an approximate 85% eclipse, with max happening about 1:15 p.m. The next eclipse of this magnitude will be in 2029.

There is a special patch that scouts can earn for taking part in this event.

“Eclipse glasses” can be purchased at local stores – the optical shop in De Forest had them for $2, if still in stock.  Pin-hole viewers can be made – see instructions online.
